Used Vauxhall

Vauxhall is the second most popular car manufacturer in Britain and, as such, Vauxhalls are a very popular choice on the used car market. Vauxhall’s range of cars is extensive and there is quite literally a Vauxhall to suit every budget.

Vauxhall Motors can trace its roots back to 1857; and the company built its first car in 1903. In 1925, Vauxhall was bought by the American company General Motors, and since the 1970s, Vauxhalls have mainly been rebadged versions of their European Opel counterparts.

The Vauxhall Agila is Vauxhall’s city car, designed to compete with the likes of the Fiat Panda. Launched in 2000 and refreshed in 2008, the Agila is a good looking, economical car which is popular with first time buyers and city-dwellers alike.

The Vauxhall Corsa is Vauxhall’s supermini and is the biggest-selling model in the Vauxhall range. It was launched in 1993 to replace the ageing but popular Vauxhall Nova and was replaced by the Mk2 model in 2000. The third-generation Corsa was launched in 2006. All Corsas are popular choices on the second-hand market thanks to their low prices, low cost of ownership, reliability and small exterior dimensions.

The Vauxhall Astra is the longest-lived of all Vauxhall cars, having first seen the light of day in 1979. The model has been revised many times since then, with new models arriving in 1984, 1991, 1998, 2004 and 2009. The Astra is a medium-sized family car which competes with the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf and has always been a popular second-hand car. The Astra offers reliable, cheap and hassle-free motoring, and thanks to the model’s popularity on the new car market, there is a wealth of used Astras to choose from.

The Vauxhall Insignia is Vauxhall’s large family car, and was introduced in 2008 to replace the old Vectra (1995-2008). Despite this, the Insignia and the Vectra — and even the Vectra’s predecessor, the Cavalier — remain popular used buys. Honest, practical and good value family transport.

The Vauxhall Zafira is one of the most popular family MPVs on the market, and rightly so. Launched in 1999, the Zafira impressed with its innovative ‘Flex7′ seating layout, which made it one of the most practical MPVs on the market. Replaced in 2005, and replaced again by the Zafira Tourer in 2012, all Zafiras offer good value for money, excellent family car practicality and low running costs.

Other popular models in the Vauxhall range include the Adam city car, the Meriva MPV, the Mokka crossover, the Antara 4×4 SUV, the VXR8 performance saloon, and the Ampera electric car.
